A satellite is just an extension of our church in a different part of our community. We have recently purchased land and are in the planning stages of building a permanent home. In the meantime, at Danny Jones Middle School we have created an exciting atmosphere for worship, a fun environment for the kids, and a great place to meet friends.
We dress casual. We believe that what a person looks like on the outside is not nearly as important as what is on the inside. At The Church on Rush Creek—Mira Lagos you will see blue jeans, khakis, skirts, and even shorts. Dress however you feel comfortable.
We strive to create an environment for worship where people are encouraged to experience the presence of God. Our music style is an expression of contemporary culture yet is driven by lyrics that reflect our reverence to an awesome and holy God. Our messages are bible based, creative, and offer practical insights to relevant issues that concern everyone. We want your worship experience at The Church on Rush Creek—Mira Lagos to be one of the best hours of your week!
Meeting in a school has a unique set of challenges for kids, but we have creatively transformed the school hallways into environments your children will love!
Our preschool ministry meets in the halls designated as Birth - Pre-K. Babies, toddlers and other preschoolers receive loving, age appropriate teaching and care from committed and trained adults. Older children participate in a rotating classroom system where they spend time singing music, learning Bible stories, and building crafts. There are many features of our kids ministry that put parents at ease including a central check-in station where you sign-in your child and collect a security tag.
We also have a grade school and pre-teen ministry that serves as a Sunday morning small group experience for children grades kindergarten – 3rd grade and 4th & 6th grade. Down these halls, your kids will connect with friends and be challenged by their small group leaders to put feet to what they’ve learned. Interactive learning and other hands-on activities promise to challenge your children to live like Jesus did.
Student ministry is available during the 10:30 service time on Sunday mornings. This is a great place for your 7th - 12th grader to come and fellowship, worship and dive into the Word of God.
Your student will walk away with ways to apply God's Word to their everyday lives. Awesome adult leaders will engage and welcome your student. For more information email .
Wednesday evenings students gather for a small group time called Fusion. These groups meet from 6:30 - 8:30 at different homes throughout the Mansfield/Arlington area.
Fusion allows students to grow closer to each other, grow closer to adult leaders and grow closer to God. To get plugged into a Fusion group email .
The short answer is “No”. Sunday morning is built around three priorities: worship, children, and serving. In order to do all three well we moved our morning bible studies to evening and mid-week LifeGroups. LifeGroups are groups of 8-12 people getting together to do "life together”.
